Our Pedestrian Safety Gates provide access between segregated zones. They allow safe pedestrian crossings at forklift and other machinery thoroughfares. With a durable and reliable assembly, designed specifically for protection, these gates are an innovative safety system.

Using an inward opening mechanism (mounted outward opening also available), the gate forces a person to step backwards, which increases their awareness of an environment and at a crossing. When the gate is opened, signals are activated to warn both a pedestrian and any incoming forklift operator to be cautious and conscious of their surroundings.

Our gates work in two ways – to alert forklift operators that a pedestrian is entering their work area and to inform pedestrians of potential dangers in a segregated zone. The design of the gate ensures operators increase their awareness and protect pedestrians, especially in areas of low visibility.

Pedestrian Safety Gates an innovative warning system!

Pedestrian Safety Gates address particular hazards that occur in most warehouses and high-traffic areas. Forklifts often carry loads that restrict vision. These systems ensure that drivers are notified to take care. It also ensures pedestrians pay more attention when crossing walkways.

Opening Gate Warning:

When opened, our practical safety gates activate a flashing LED light and audible signal. The beeping sound will continue for the duration of the time programmed. Depending on the setting chosen within the control panel, the warning system will give a user about 10-40 seconds of alarm. Pedestrian Safety Gates are preprogrammed at 15-seconds as standard. If a gate is left open for any reason (like propping it open) the system will signal four quick beeps every 6 minutes.

Gate Power Supply:

The gates are battery powered by standard ‘D-Cell’ Batteries and are not hardwired, so there is no need to run power to the gate. Battery life is expected to last over 6 months, on average with the typical usage in any workplace. When the battery depletes below a certain voltage, the LED lights will signal and flash to alert you that the battery is low and requires replacement. Pedestrian Safety Gates utilise 8 batteries in total.

Gate Functionality and Operation:

Pedestrian Safety Gates work via a magnetic read switch that activates the cycle. The gate is installed to open inwards, allowing a moment of hesitation for the pedestrian and for warning signals to be activated and heard by forklift operators. This hardware comes pre-programmed to play an alarm for 15 seconds. The cycle can be adjusted to suit longer crossings.
